Urge Washington State House leadership to schedule a vote on presidential tax return transparency

Washington State is close to securing a law requiring presidential candidates to release five years of tax returns in order to appear on the statewide ballot.

Senate Bill 5078, sponsored by Senator Patty Kuderer, has passed the state Senate and is supported by Governor Jay Inslee, but it has not yet received a vote in the House of Representatives.

Time is running out. We have just hours left to ensure that this legislation doesn't die in the House Rules Committee. The deadline for SB 5078 to get a vote is Wednesday, April 17th, 2019 at 5 PM.

We need your help to pass this bill and take a stand for accountable, ethical leadership in the White House. Use the form on this page to send a letter to the fifteen Democratic State Representatives on the House Rules Committee (including Speaker Frank Chopp, Majority Leader Pat Sullivan, and Majority Floor Leader Monica Jurado Stonier) letting them know you want them to pull SB 5078 from committee so it can be debated and receive a floor vote in the Washington State House of Representatives.
